EAD Vol I is an eclectic mix of alternative indie, R’n’B and electronica, that weaves through influences ranging from the Flaming Lips to Portishead, SWV to Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tame Impala to Boards of Canada, Gold Panda to Boyz- II-Men and the Beta Band to Deerhunter.

EAD (Excessive Association Disorder) is a phrase that songwriter and producer Yandl Shyr (real name Tom Edney) jokingly coined to describe his hyper-awareness to life’s links and connections that seem too entwined in the stars to write off as mere coincidence.

EAD is accompanied by artwork from Bradford-native and Leeds-based artist, Adam Menzies, as well as animations from Manchester-based Romanian visual artist, Florin Mocanu.
